Three questions the desk hears most
A complete request, meaning one that includes the drawing revision, material, quantity and date, is usually read and answered on the same working day. Requests sent after closing receive a written reply by the following morning through the overnight quote desk. If a slot is not available, the reply names the next date that works.
Sometimes, for simple parts. A model alone leaves tolerance and finish open, so the desk will ask for those decisions in writing before a slot is confirmed. For anything that carries a fit or a safety function, a drawing revision is required, because a measurement dispute without a named revision cannot be resolved fairly.
The coordinator tells the program as soon as the risk is known, not after the cut-off passes. A revised handoff plan is proposed with the next available flight or an alternative routing, and the program decides which option fits. The desk does not move a delivery date without the program agreeing to the change.
